What if you can't print out the 12/15/08 quiz?

Well, if you can't print it out, you can just copy it down!! There are not that many problems, but I think everyone should be able to print it out. I will have a few copies in my box if you really get desperate! Look in my vertical box--looks like a locker, in the binder that is labeled 4, for 4eme. There should be extra copies there.

Eighth grade homework due 10/15/09

If you check the scanned material for 12/15/08, you'll find something that looks very familiar!! At least, if you had US Math last year.

For next week (10/15/19) please print out both sides of this familiar quiz found under 12/15/08 and complete it, showing all work. It shouldn't take you longer than 20 minutes if you know what you are doing.

Also, please review the notes you've been taking in class and have questions prepared on anything you are not comfortable with. I'd like everyone to have 3 questions written down and ready to discuss and hand in!!

Be prepared to do a few problems that involve decimals, finding LCM/LCD and finding GCF. Look over prime factorization, too.

Homework due November 3

1. Spectrum pages 75-78: Read and do the problems. Be prepared for some graded classwork on the concepts that are covered on these pages. I will be scanning in some additional material on probability for those of you who are interested and are worried about SSAT questions.

2. Be able to define all of the bold-faced words used in pages 75-78.

3. The 3 page classwork packets were handed back to all of you with a cover sheet that needs to be completed (both sides.)

Correct any parts of the worksheets where you received less than full points. I will do a second grading of the corrected answers. Your second grading CANNOT BE LESS than the first, as I will NOT be taking away points!!! Then, I will average the two grades!

4. I did not collect pages 41 and 42 from the Spectrum book (customary measurement exercises) so you will have these pages to review for a possible quiz next time on ounces, pounds, inches, feet, quarts, gallons, pints, etc. Make sure pp. 41 and 42 are ready to be handed in on Nov. 3, too.

5. Have a good break!
